Welcome to River Christian Academy (RCA). We are a homeschooling co-op community that meets 3 times a week for in-person instruction. To get started with our admissions process please follow the steps outlined below.
1. Registration Email. Please email all inquiries and correspondences to RCA@RiverSchools.com. One of our school adminstrators will provide you with an application and guided steps.
2. Approval & Registration. Once you have registered with RCA our administrators will review your application and advise placement for the upcoming school year. You will need to pay the one time registration fee of $250 when submitting your application. Please allow our administrators 5-7 business days for approval decisions.
3. Enrollment. Once approved please pay the one time enrollment fee of $250 to reserve your child’s education at RCA.
4. Orientation Day. Parents and students must attend the mandatory orientation to capture the most of the upcoming school year.

Additional Fees
RCA has taken the responsibility to purchase the curriculum for our RCA students. As a result, all tuition and fees payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Payment Options (scholarships)
If you wish to pay utilizing the Step Up Unique abilities or the PEP scholarship payments are expected to be made on a quarterly basis. These payments are to be sent using the EMA system, under the Market Place from the provider section. Please search for River Christian Academy.

The Good and The Beautiful is a math curriculum that is curated with a Christian Worldview that provides a perfect balance of enjoyable learning along with the development of a strong math foundation. Lessons are just the right length for young learners and contain fun games and activities, the highest academic standards, diversity, and connected learning.
Language Arts: The Good and the Beautiful
The Good and the Beautiful is a full-year language arts curriculum that integrates God, family, nature, beautiful art, and strong moral values. This beautiful and academically strong course combines the following subjects: reading, phonics, writing, spelling, literature, grammar and punctuation, geography, and art.
American History: Story of the World Vol.3
Volume Early Modern Times History for The Classical Child is a full year of history and geography study! Provides curated reading lists, map work, coloring pages, review questions, exercises, and hands-on projects to bring history to life.
Science: The Human Body
Our lead instructor and director have meticulously curated lesson plans that engage students with comprehensive activities for their science journals, hands-on experiments, interactive activities, and enriching vocabulary exercises. Our approach ensures that students not only understand the marvels of the human body but also appreciate its design from a faith-based perspective.
Critical Thinking and Discernment: Beginning Reading & Reasoning
The Reasoning & Reading workbooks develop basic language and thinking skills that build the foundation for reading comprehension. Exercises reinforce reading as a critical reasoning activity. Many exercises encourage students to come up with their own response in instances in which there is no single correct answer. In other cases, exercises lend themselves to students working collaboratively to see how many different answers satisfy a question.
Electives:
Our electives will be structured in 4–6-week modules and will include but may be subject to change: Health and Wellness, Robotics, Marine and Animal Science, Homestead and Agriculture, Engineering, and Entrepreneurship and Leadership. This flexible approach allows us to adapt to the interests and needs of our students throughout the school year.
Fine Arts:
Our Fine Arts curriculum will encompass a broad range of topics, including drawing and the study of famous artists within American history, classical music from various artistic time periods, renowned composers, and the different families of musical instruments. This comprehensive approach will provide our students with a rich and diverse appreciation of the arts.

Language Arts & Grammar: IEW & Fix it Grammar
Students will be using Institute for Excellence in Writing and Fix It Grammar. This series of 30 lessons (with two bonus lessons) beckons students to experience the enchanted land of Narnia through the Structure and Style writing method. The Student Book gives reading assignments from the novels, source texts on related topics, checklists, assignments, wordlists, and more! Students will also hunt for and correct errors in daily passages that cumulatively tell a story. Fix It!
American History: Notgrass America the Beautiful
America the Beautiful is a one-year course centered in God's Word that makes learning American history exciting for homeschooling students and parents. Daily lessons guide your child chronologically through the history of the United States, highlighting key events, people, and places.

English – Literature – Bible: Notgrass Exploring America
Our English and Literature curriculum, based on Notgrass' “Exploring America," is a one-year course rooted in God's Word that equips students with a deeper understanding of our country and their place within it. Through this comprehensive study, students will earn two credits: one in English and one in Bible.

Science Anatomy & Physiology: Wonders of the Human Body Vol.1
Dive into the amazing discoveries of how God designed our bodies in Master Books’ Introduction to Anatomy & Physiology Volume 1. This Christian homeschool science curriculum for high school students explores the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems. Critical Thinking and Discernment: The Art of Argument
Students who complete The Art of Argument will learn how to reason with clarity, relevance, and purpose. Informal logic is a foundational subject by which other subjects are evaluated, assessed, and learned. Therefore, students' study and mastery of the 28 logical fallacies will provide an essential lifetime framework for filtering good and bad reasoning as well as writing and speaking effectively.
