GENERAL ADMISSIONS

We are an equal opportunity Christian educational institution which admits qualified applicants regardless of gender, ethnic group, age, handicap status, or veteran status.

A qualified applicant is described as a person who meets the following general admissions requirements along with the specific requirements for the program that he/she will pursue.

The River School of Ministry reserves the right to admissions. Each applicant must meet the general admissions requirements as follows:

  1. Profession of saving faith resting in Jesus Christ.

  2. Acceptance of River School of Ministry’s Statement of Faith as a personal Statement of Faith.

  3. At least 16 years of age.

  4. Complete an application for RSM.

  5. Submit a recent passport type photo for identification purposes with the completed application.

  6. Submit official high school transcripts or GED for those under the age of 25 years. Submit official college transcripts (if applicable).

  7. If requested, present evidence of good physical and mental health.

  8. If requested, submit a physical examination report including drug screening.

  9. Have adequate means of paying his/her tuition if applicable and fees as our school does not accept federally funded financial aid, grants or student loans at this time.

  10. Properly complete ALL required admissions paperwork.

  11. Attend the student orientation and be prepared to pay the Application Fee in full.

  12. Progression is dependent on maintaining a 2.0 GPA average or better in all courses.

APPLICATION FOR ADMISSIONS

To apply for entrance into RSM, the following forms are required:

  1. Complete an Application for Admissions and submit it with a non-refundable $50.00 application fee. The application fee for inactive students who are returning to active status is $50.00.

  2. Students wishing to receive academic credit for previous schooling must have an officialtranscript sent to the Office of Admissions. The student is responsible for all fees relatingto the acquisition of transcripts. (See Financial Information) Transcript request forms are available uponrequest.

  3. After submitting their completed application, new students may be required to have a pre-admission interview with a school staff member.

TUITION, FEES, AND CHARGES

RSM strives to keep tuition affordable and offers several payment options to assist you. Below is a list of the fees, tuition, and other related charges. The full course tuition is charged to the student at the onset of each course. Payment installments are available.

TUITION

  • Tuition fee per person per course $150
  • Tuition fee per married couples per course $200

This fee includes tuition and pdf format books. All tuition fees are paid in advance when registering for acourse. If payment installments are arranged, the tuition fee must be paid in full in order to take the final examination for the registered course.

FEES AND CHARGES

  • First time students $50.00 (Includes: ID, Registration, etc.)
  • Returning students $50.00

Other Fees

  • Graduation Fee $250.00 (Includes: Cap & Gown, Diploma, Banquet, etc.)
  • Banquet Fee (Non-graduating Students/Guests) $50.00
  • Original Diploma/Certificate Fee $100.00 (For students who have not participated in a graduation ceremony)
  • Replacement Student ID $20.00
  • Official Transcript - Standard (allow 30 days) $10.00
  • Official Transcript - Expedited (allow 5-7 business days) $35.00
  • Replacement Diploma or Certificate (allow 30 days) $25.00
  • Administrative Credit Transfer Fee $100.00

All prices are subject to change without notification.

TEXTBOOKS

Digital textbooks in pdf format are included in tuition costs. Printed paperback or hardcover textbook are not provided, the student bears the responsibility of acquiring their own printed textbook outlined in each course syllabus.

TUITION AND FEE PAYMENTS
Students are responsible to keep accounts current. Students whose accounts are not paid by established due dates may not attend class any day thereafter until tuition/fee payment is made in full or communication has been made with the Administration Office for other arrangements.

Students who have sponsors paying their tuition must be aware of due dates. It is the student’s responsibility to check with sponsors or the Administrative Office to verify payment. Tuition may be paid at any time corresponding with the Administration’s Office hours on or before the payment due date.

REFUND POLICY

Each course is paid in advance and once a student has been enrolled in a course and paid the course tuition fee, there will be no refunds on any full or partial payment.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

At this time, we do not offer any student loans, grants, or other financial assistance. Students are responsible for all costs. Payment installments are available to assist the student with tuition/fee payments.

Scholarships are available. Any scholarships offered are at the discretion of the President of RSM. Students who receive a scholarship must follow scholarship guidelines and will be evaluated each course on an individual basis. Students on scholarship must be in good academic standing, have satisfactory attendance and active participation in the ministry of helps in order to maintain their scholarships.

COURSE ENROLLMENT

Registration is held prior to the start of each course during the academic year. Students must complete all admissions requirements prior to registration. During registration, students are photographed for their student ID, given access to our student information and learning management system called Populi, enrolled into their course, presented text books, registered for Ministry of Helps, instructed about soulwinning labs, and finances are settled.

ORIENTATION

Orientation is mandatory for all students (new and inactive returning). Orientation is designed to acquaint the student with the objectives, plan, and purpose of RSM and to discuss the college administrative policies and procedures.

RE-ENROLLMENT AND INTERRUPTED EDUCATION

Students who leave in good standing may possibly return to active status at a later date. If a student violates or varies from the standards set by our school or River Church as a whole, RSM reserves the right to revoke any such students’ degree. Any student having an outstanding balance will be prohibited from re-admission to this institution until all accounts are settled. Any student who has been expelled from school for disciplinary reasons will be denied re-admission until approval has been granted by the President of the college.
Students in good standing who desire to return to school after an absence or after interrupted education will be considered returning students. These students need to complete the returning student application and pay the required course tuition, textbook and other fees.
